Recharge, Rejuvenate, and Reinvest

Dear Friends and Cherished AHCMC Supporters,

Happy holidays from our work family to each and every one of you! ❄️ As we wind down from a fantastic and productive year, I want to extend warm wishes for restful moments and the rejuvenation of the spirit we all deserve. It is a busy time of year filled with a different kind of hustle and bustle, but as you gather with loved ones, remember to pause and treat yourself to some much-needed relaxation. Rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. So, dive into the art of doing nothing this holiday season – guilt-free! Your mind, body, and spirit will thank you.

Now, onto some extraordinary news to close out 2023! In case you have not heard, I am thrilled to update you on the remarkable economic and social impact of Montgomery County’s arts and culture industries, as highlighted in the recent Arts and Economic Prosperity 6 (AEP6) study from Americans for the Arts. In 2022, our creative community generated a staggering $183.3 million in economic activity, supported nearly 4,000 local jobs, provided $139.6 million in income to county residents, and contributed $34.6 million in local, state, and federal government revenue. Can you say WOW?! These incredible AEP6 results demonstrate precisely why our local creative sector’s resilience and economic significance are worth celebrating.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic and current market uncertainties, Montgomery County’s cultural industry stands tall, playing a pivotal role in fortifying our local economy and serving the diverse needs of our residents. And this is where you come in, our amazing supporters!

As we approach the holidays, I invite you to consider the gift of increased programs and services for our entire arts and humanities ecosystem in your year-end giving. AHCMC is more than a financial supporter; we are a vital business association, community advocate, and resource center. Your donation not only invests in the future of our creative economy but also ensures continued growth, sustainability, and success for all individuals and organizations within our sector.

Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference in preserving our cultural ecosystem. To donate, please visit our website: https://www.creativemoco.com/support-art-culture/donate/

Thank you for being an integral part of our community and for your ongoing support. Together, let’s continue building a thriving cultural landscape in Montgomery County. Here’s to a season of rest, joy and the magic of arts and culture!

Warmest wishes,
