AHCMC x DataCamp Donates Scholarship Program

The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County is thrilled to announce our newest partnership, DataCamp Donates!

Through this partnership, we are launching the AHCMC x DataCamp Donates Scholarship Program to support the professional growth of artists, scholars, and arts and humanities professionals/managers in Montgomery County, MD and beyond. This FREE professional development opportunity is designed for individuals looking to deepen their knowledge of data science, analytics, and artificial intelligence (A.I.). 

This program will provide 50 scholarships to individuals interested in growing their business analytics and technical skills from beginner to more advanced levels through DataCamp course projects, case studies, competitions, and certificates.

Program Goals & Desired Outcomes

As technology continues to advance, AHCMC is committed to expanding access to skills and career development opportunities for all members of our community. Our goals are to:

  • Support emerging and established arts and humanities leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, and workforce members in Montgomery County, the Washington, DC Metro area, and beyond
  • Strengthen the technical capacity and competencies of participants
  • Provide equitable access to technology education for non-traditional learners
  • Democratize access to data and A.I. educational opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds

This self-paced educational program is available online and on-demand through the DataCamp platform. Courses and certificate tracks can be completed within three to six months of part-time study, with no prior experience or degree required.

Eligibility & Program Requirements

  • This program is currently available to: FY25 & FY26 AHCMC grantees and staff
  • Scholarship licenses last for one year from the date of registration on the DataCamp platform
  • Participants may complete as many eligible courses and certificates as they wish before their scholarship license expires
  • After the one-year scholarship period ends, continued access to DataCamp requires a paid subscription
