Immemorial

Immemorial brings together two artists with a shared interest in the circle, a shape and symbol that has signified a multitude of meanings by cultures all over the world since ancient times. Shanthi Chandrasekar, an artist trained in the traditional Tanjore Style painting, includes her recent “Red Dot” series of intricate ink drawings and her paintings that reference the circle as a conductor of spiritual power. Susan J Goldman also explores these associations with new screenprints and monotypes where the circle motif unites prints from different bodies of work included in this exhibition.
