NEW! Request for Design Qualifications: Fenton Street Urban Park, Silver Spring, MD

The Public Arts Trust (PAT) of Montgomery County, MD, administered by the Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC), invites artists to submit Statements of Qualifications to design, fabricate and install artwork on publicly-owned land between a residential neighborhood and an industrial district with auto repair shops in Silver Spring, Maryland. This public art project is intended to replace Criss Cross, a sculpture that was removed from the public road right-of-way on Fenton Street. The project area for consideration includes road rights-of-ways along Fenton Street, Philadelphia Avenue and Burlington Avenue, as well as the existing Fenton Street Urban Park.

AHCMC Marketing Committee

Purpose: To raise awareness of and participation in the arts and humanities in Montgomery County. The committee meets monthly from September through June. Contact Joe Frandoni if you’d like to join the committee. Meetings are held at committee member locations generally between 9:30 and 11:30. FY14 Meeting dates:  Nov. 14, Feb. 6, March 14, April 24, and May 22
