Grants
The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County (AHCMC) administers a comprehensive grants program that funds local arts and humanities organizations, as well as individual artists and scholars. AHCMC annually distributes over $4 million in grants to organizations and individuals to help fund enriching cultural activities in our County. Funding is provided by the Montgomery County Government, the Maryland State Arts Council, corporations, organizations and individuals.
AHCMC is committed to providing resources and funding opportunities for both arts and humanities organizations in Montgomery County, as well as artists and scholars who reside in Montgomery County. Funding opportunities for community groups and schools to bring artists or scholars to their venues are also available.
In addition to providing funding for the arts and humanities in Montgomery County, AHCMC offers the opportunity for local artists, scholars and teaching artists to be listed on informational rosters. These rosters are available and easily accessible to members of the community through the AHCMC website.
