The Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County knows that the arts and humanities are just as important as any other sector of the community. The arts and humanities not only contribute to the health of the County's economy; they also contribute to the community's well-being and quality of life.
Elected Montgomery County officials have been instrumental in garnering support for the arts and humanities in past years. Thanks to them, in fiscal year 2010, AHCMC was able to grant over 4 million dollars to over 170 arts and humanities organizations and individual artists and scholars. In order to preserve what's been built, it's important that Montgomery County residents elect County officials that value the arts and humanities.
