What is a Teaching Artist Residency? Artist Residencies provide essential learning experiences for all students and engage both students and educators in hands-on, interactive arts programming with professional artists experienced in arts integration, school culture and the Voluntary State Curriculum.
Teaching artists collaborate with classroom educators to customize arts-integrated residencies that meet academic curriculum objectives and the particular needs of your students.
The program serves public, private or parochial elementary, middle or high school, located in Montgomery County during the academic year. The school, classroom teacher and the teaching artist must agree to work together to carry out the program. Grants are awarded for $750 to $3,000.
