



We make booking an artist, scholar or performer for your school or group easy. Simply choose one the pre-approved individuals or groups found in either the Teaching Artist Roster or the Artists and Scholars in the Community Roster.
AHCMC offers grants to educators, social service agencies, youth providers and civic organizations seeking qualified artists, scholars, and performers for programs aimed at children, youth, adults and seniors. AHCMC offers free grant preparation workshops and one-on-one consultation when requested.
Artists and Scholars in the Community Grants
• Community-based organizations in Montgomery County select an artist/scholar from the Artists and Scholars Roster for Community Programs
• The organization and the artist/scholar apply together for a grant for a program sponsored by the organization. Grants range from $250 to $1,500.
• Program must serve underserved populations.
Teaching Artist Residency Grants
• Public, private and parochial educators in Montgomery County select an artist from the Teaching Artist Roster
• The educator and the artist/scholar apply together for a grant for a program sponsored by the organization. Grants range from $ to $750-$3,000
• Residencies are for arts integration only using one of the teaching artists from AHCMC's roster. Teaching Artists are professional artists trained in arts integration, school culture, and who are committed to arts education as an integral part of their professional practice.
